Uniform and Insignia of the Boy Scouts
Right Sleeve:

The American Flag patch is worn at the top of the right sleeve.

Patrol emblems go on the middle position of the right sleeve.

The Quality Unit patch is worn at the bottom of the right sleeve.
Shirt Front:
-
Shoulder Loops (epilettes) indicate the branch of Scouting a boy is in.

The Order of the Arrow insignia goes on the right pocket flap.
-
The Recruiter Patch may be worn below the right pocket.
-
The World Crest is worn above the left pocket.
-
Scout's current badge of rank is worn on his left pocket.
-
The Arrow of Light award may be worn below the left pocket.
Left Sleeve:

The Suffolk County Council patch is worn at the top of the left sleeve.

The unit number patch is worn below the Council patch.
-
Scouts who have assumed a leadership role may wear the appropriate Badge of Office on their left sleeve.

Scouts who have earned a Trained patch may wear the patch at the boottom of their left sleeve.
Merit Badge Sash:

Merit badges are sewn on to the front of the Merit Badge sash in neat rows of three.
